Established in 1978, Dave Mac Propshafts have concentrated on the manufacture and reconditioning of propshafts and associated driveline line components.
We can offer simple quick repairs to existing shafts, in hours not days, with While-U-Wait options on most jobs. We build replacement shafts on a same-day service for most models. With our extensive stock holding and full in-house machining capabilities we are able to be flexible and responsive with quick turn-arounds.
We supply 1000’s of propshafts for new vehicle build, kit-cars, classic cars, plant, machinery, diggers, tankers, water pumps, canal boats etc.
Design and Manufacturing for Modern, Classics, Road, Rally and Motorsport
Utilising our years of specialist experience in the industry we can offer unique powertrain solutions. We have in house 3D CAD(Creo) and manufacturing with 2017 model XYZ vertical machining centre, and 2018 XYZ turning centre. We have two 6-metre long balancing machines and a 9m long horizontal hydraulic press, thus are equipped to process all sizes of propshafts.
Our Custom Design and Motorsport section will manufacture any propshaft to sample, drawing, photo, or even just the verbalised idea.
We build propshafts and driveshaft for Drift Cars, Paris-Dakar Desert racers, British Touring Car Championship Winners (2013 & 2014 Ebay Motors car, 2014 BMR ). We are approved suppliers to Mahle (Cosworth), Ricardo, Aston Martin (current models and Heritage builds) , Jaguar Classic, Horbia-Mira, Triumph Motorcycles, Royal Enfield Motorcycles, Severn Trent Water. etc.
Driveshafts
We offer driveshaft bars, designed and built, in F1 grade steel (S155/300M) to any build spec. These are supplied with an, industry leading, unique ‘No-Quibble-Life-Time-Warranty’. We are able take project ideas, make conversion bars and build a driveshaft solution in prompt delivery times. We hold 100’s of metres of S155 steel bar in stock and have a dedicated team to offer quick production.
We are the chosen supplier to many teams for driveshaft bars that are designed and made to last. Rapid production of prototype shafts for test vehicles is our speciality, currently making electric vehicle test shafts for SAIC, JLR, Detriot-Electric, Mira etc.
Our S155 axle bars for Classic cars are custom made to order for some of the leading teams in classic racing. We take the existing classic design, translate this into a new shaft design which is 3 times stronger than the original unit. Our shafts are a direct replacement for the original and come with the Life-Time Warranty.
